Tourism: On-Arrival Visa

Indonesia has stipulated a new regulation for On-Arrival Visa.  As of  January 26, 2010 onward, Indonesia provides a 30-day visa-on-arrival with the possible extension of another 30 days.

This new visa stipulation is provided for tourists and business people from 64 countries. Tourists applying for the visa would receive the initial 30-day permit for US $ 25.

The new regulation will attract more foreign tourists to travel and spend more time in the country as it is also aimed at boosting tourism.

In the year of 2009, Indonesia has been visited by 6,4 millions of foreign tourists.

This year target is 7 million tourists from abroad, according sources from The Culture and Tourism Ministry.
